Little Blue Jay

The bird clings to his nest
Though needs compel him
To fly away.
Little blue jay
Do not fret,
Uneasy in this messy net
Of complications
You must weave another
Home out of twigs
Thrown about
On the garden path
Of heaven’s dreams,
Find another road
Let the winds rustle and laugh
You must fly away
Ere the daybreaks
And sunshine departs.
